Indo - Chinese Chilli Fish !!!

1.Any fleshy fish - 500 gm or 1/2 kg (I used thilapia fillets)

Fish Marination :

2.Kashmiri Red chili powder - 1/4 tsp
3.Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
4.Lime juice - 1 tsp
5.Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
6.Salt to taste

For the Batter :

7.Flour / Maida - 4 tbsp
8.Cornflour - 2 tbsp
9.Black Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
10.Kashmiri Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
11.Soya Sauce - 1 tsp
12.Soda powder - 1/4 tsp
13.Salt as needed.

For Sauce :

14.Kashmiri Red Chili powder - 1.5 tsp (adjust to taste)
15.Black Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
16.Soya sauce - 1 tsp
17.Tomato sauce - 2 tbsp
18.Green Chili sauce - 1 tsp
19.White part of spring onion - 3 chopped
20.Green part of spring onion to garnish
21.Garlic - 4 cloves chopped
22.Corn flour - 3/4 tbsp
23.Sugar - 1/4 tsp
24.Water and salt as needed.
25.Oil for deep frying of fish.

Instruction :

1.Clean and cut the fish fillets into cube size and marinate with the list of ingredients from above for about 30 minutes.
2.Meanwhile take a bowl and mix all the ingredients listed above in the batter section to make a batter.Take care while adding water as the batter should not be too thick nor too thin.
3.Heat the oil for deep frying the marinated fish,and fry them in batches until golden brown in color. Transfer it to tissue paper to absorb extra oil and keep aside.
4.In another pan heat 2 tbsp oil,add chopped garlic and fry until light golden brown in color.
5.Now add the white part of the spring onion and stir for 2 min,followed by add red chili and pepper powder and mix it properly.
6.Next add all the sauces and sugar, stir well.
7.Dissolve corn flour in 1/2 cup of water and pour into the pan (Note : you can increase and decrease the quantity of sauce according to personal preference).
8.Allow the mixture to boil in the pan,add salt at this time.
9.Once the gravy thickens,drop in the fried fishes in batches and mix very gently,take care not to brake the fish pieces, reduce the flame.
10.Garnish with the green part of the spring onions and serve hot with the preferred fried rice or roti's.
